We invite you to become a Village Volunteer!

We have a range of volunteer opportunities for young and old, from teenagers who need community service hours to retirees who just have time and want to make a difference. Everyone can do something to help another person.

Our volunteers are not paid, but the jobs they perform and the kindnesses they contribute are invaluable.

We welcome inquiries from scout troops, church groups and other organizations. Below are just a few examples of ongoing volunteer opportunities for individuals. You may have other suggestions. Give Nicole a call.

Joe Shetler is our volunteer coordinator, and if you’re interested in becoming a Village Volunteer, he would love to hear from you.

One on One Visits

Spend time with a senior. Some of our older residents do not get many visitors. Making conversation, reading the newspaper aloud, going for a walk together, all these simple acts can mean so much.

Activities and Outings

Calling bingo numbers, distributing hymnals, pushing wheelchairs, helping with crafts, there are many opportunities to help staff and residents all around Laurel View Village.

Jobs Around the Village

Water the plants, help with flower beds and vegetable gardens, decorate for weddings and assist with holiday cookie sales, there are lots of volunteer jobs you can do on your own or with others.
