Worldwide, 55 million people are living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias.
Alzheimer’s disease is a degenerative brain disease that affects memory, thinking and behavior. Symptoms eventually grow severe enough to interfere with daily tasks. Alzheimer’s is the most common cause of dementia. Dementia is not a specific disease but an overall general term that describes a group of symptoms for memory loss and other cognitive abilities serious enough to interfere with daily life.
