LAUREL VIEW VILLAGE ANNOUNCES EXPANSION OF TOWNHOMES

For Immediate Release – December 4, 2023- Laurel View Village, a full-service Continuing Care Retirement Community (CCRC), is excited to announce the expansion of new townhomes for Independent Living residents. If you are considering senior living options that offer a variety of services and amenities and can enhance your lifestyle, then this is a great opportunity to visit Laurel View Village. Laurel View Village has plans to build 5 more duplexes, adding ten new townhomes to campus.

“Anytime you grow is a great thing, especially in senior living. We have seen a lot of other changes elsewhere in this industry; with other providers closing or consolidating.

Our last major expansion was 14 years ago when we added Cambridge Place which is a 55 unit apartment building. With the volume of interest of people wanting to join our community and our board and management support, we are able to make this expansion come to fruition.

Providing more choices here is a good thing and growth is important for the long-term. People are very excited it is happening,” said Christina Gorschak, Lead Sales Counselor.

Laurel View Village currently boasts 170 residential living units from apartments to townhomes, this expansion will take the campus to 180 residential living units. Laurel View Village kicked off the presale of Townhomes in July to Priority Club members. Since that kick-off meeting in July, seven of the ten townhomes are sold. Laurel View is now opening the opportunity up to the community to consider purchasing a new townhome.

The biggest advantage to the new townhome expansion for those in the community is the timing. For people considering a Laurel View Village townhome there is typically an extensive wait and you usually need to join the Priority Club to receive an offer. The Priority Club is a club that was developed in 2017 for those who were seriously considering a move to receive a priority call when there are openings while also having the opportunity to better know the community through special events and access to life enrichment and wellness offerings.

“The original plans for this expansion were drawn up roughly 15 years ago, we are very excited to expand our Laurel View Village community and welcome new neighbors,” said Tim Mock, CEO.

The goal is to break ground on the new townhomes after the new year once winter weather breaks. New residents could be here possibly as early as 9 months from once the shovel goes in the ground. The goal is to have all the townhomes complete late 2024 into 2025.  Incoming residents will have the opportunity to pick finishes and customizable features. The new townhomes will all feature two car garages and are 1640 and 1776 sq ft and all on one floor. They will have plenty of storage, with an open floor plan design, a full kitchen with appliances, two bedrooms, den, and private patios. Incoming residents will have the opportunity to have upgrades of their choice, for example fireplaces.

“The new residents I am working with are thrilled! They are excited to start a new chapter in their life. Some have been waiting for a while and can’t wait to be into their new home .

They all share the mutual desire to be here, with the goal of experiencing a maintenance-free lifestyle that will leave them with more time to do the things that they enjoy. As they navigate this experience together, the added benefit is their getting to know their new neighbors ahead of time.” said Gorschak

Gorschak has worked for Laurel View Village for over 24 years in all levels and a variety of leadership positions. Here experience lends itself well to helping individuals or couples make this decision. Gorschak shares, “I always advise people to being open to all the possibilities here. A lot of people wait for this perfect time of being ready. But what is ready? It is different for each person. I encourage people to come learn, listen and explore the possibility. Don’t let the apprehension you might feel stall something greater. Besides the opportunity of a brand-new home, new residents will gain maintenance free living, social opportunities and a wonderful community.”

Laurel View Village is a standalone, non-profit, 55+ community with residential living, personal care, skilled nursing and two secured areas for cognitive disorders. The community also offers a number of amenities from free local medical transportation, maintenance and housekeeping, dining services, many life enrichment and wellness opportunities.
