New CEO Joins Laurel View Village

Our Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Michelle N. Rassler from eastern Pennsylvania is our new CEO. She started work today at Laurel View Village and spent much of her first day getting to know staff and residents. “Everyone has been so welcoming,” said Michelle. “I’m thrilled with the opportunity to be here and help Laurel View Village grow and prosper long into the future.” Our new CEO has over 16 years of administrative experience with continuing care retirement communities in Allentown and Frederick, PA, plus financial experience managing the Bureau of Collections in Lehigh County. Residents Enjoy Day Trips

Our residents love to go places, and day trips are some of our most popular campus activities. Many of our day trips are free to our residents; others may have an admission charge. Recently a group of Vista, Townhome and Cambridge Place residents jumped on our Laurel View bus and headed out on a free excursion to Tranquility Gardens in the Menoher Heights area of Johnstown. Tranquility Gardens features classical statuary in majestic forested settings. Our residents walked the trails and enjoyed picnicing on the  grounds. Another day our staff arranged for lunch at the Coal Miners Cafe and an afternoon of live theatre at Mountain Playhouse in Jennerstown. There was a charge for this trip, but our staff did…

New 3D Panoramas Added to Our Web Site

We send thanks to a very special young man, Dylan Conrad, and his dad, Adam Conrad, broker at Perry Wellington Real Estate in Johnstown. Adam volunteered his new 3D camera and software to create very cool virtual tours of a Vista and a Cambridge Place apartment as well as one of our Townhomes. Dylan took the room by room photos. Lori Knox recruited volunteers willing to allow photography of their homes, and now we are proud to display these panoramas on our website. Viewers can click on an overhead or a “dollhouse” version of each apartment (seen above) and then use their mouse to scroll through each residence.
