COVID19 Update as of 2.9.22
February 9, 2022
Dear Residents and Families,
During the week of January 31, we identified one new positive personal care resident and seven employees from multiple areas of campus. Testing PC residents was again completed on February 7 and all residents have tested negative this week. We are awaiting results from employee testing for this week. We pray that this trend of reduced infection continues.
We are currently following appropriate guidance for visitation during an outbreak, which happens to be different for Personal Care and Health Care.
Health Care: Currently there are no positive residents in Health Care. We are open to visitation for all Health Care residents. N95 masks are required, and face shields are suggested; both are available at the entrance of Health Care.
Personal Care: Because of the ongoing outbreak, we must remain closed to most on-unit in-person visitation. We are able to offer in-person visitation in some of our neutral common areas. If possible, please schedule these visits in advance. Virtual and window visits may still be scheduled through our Life Enrichment department, as well. We will be able to open to visitors when we have a 2-week period with no new positives in the Personal Care Center. We will announce when test results are completed next week as to whether we are able to open.
Independent Living: No mandated restrictions are in place. We are encouraging mask wearing and handwashing to reduce risk. We know of one positive resident in independent living.
We are happy that the number of positive staff and residents are declining and hope to return to a COVID free status soon. Once again, thank you for your cooperation as we continue to follow government guidance and work for the safety of all involved.
Sincerely,
Timothy Mock, CEO
