February 5, 2021

Dear Laurel View Village Residents and Families,

Please see the attached test results for the complete statistics from this past week. I am delighted to announce that no new COVID-19 cases have been identified. Also, our most recent residents with COVID have recovered and we have been able to remove them from transmission precautions.

Independent Living (IL): Currently we have no known infections. Please continue to use caution when interacting and in public areas to reduce the risk of infection. With decreased community spread and cases on campus we will be announcing our dining reopening plan next week.

Personal Care and Reflections: No cases are known at this time. We have been able to allow residents to use the Beauty Shop and eat in the dining rooms with distancing and other precautions being followed. We are also able to begin window visitation. Please contact Personal Care Life enrichment beginning Monday February 8 to schedule window visits.

Health Care: All residents on precautions previously have been removed and no new cases have been identified. We are following all appropriate guidelines for reopening steps. We look forward to reopening beauty services, dining, and visitation as the guidance allows. Our reopening plan will be posted on our website when it is completed. Currently we may begin window visitation. Please contact Health Care Life enrichment beginning Monday February 8 to schedule a window visit.

Staff: We continue to test employees twice per week. In the last week we have not identified any new employee cases. Staff are still practicing distancing and wearing protective equipment as each situation requires.

Vaccines:

  • On February 16 CVS will return for their final vaccine clinic. If you received your first dose of vaccine on January 26th then you are scheduled to receive your second on this date. No first doses will be administered on February 16.
  • On Monday February 8, Giant Eagle will be on campus to administer vaccines to Independent Living residents who have not yet received a vaccine. Please bring your information to either front desk as soon as possible to help us prepare for Monday. We apologize for this short notice as it was last minute that we received the confirmation and date change.

Thank you for your support and patience as we have worked through this situation and work towards making the vaccine available to our residents.

Sincerely,
Timothy V. Mock, CEO                      (See below for test results)
