COVID Update as of 9.10.2021

Dear Residents and Families,

The good news is that this week’s outbreak testing has identified no new positives in staff or residents. All staff and Personal Care and Health Care residents were tested. This keeps us on track for re-opening the centers.

We are pleased to announce that Personal Care will be open to visitors on Sunday, September 12. Please practice hand hygiene, mask wearing and distancing while you are here. Also, please refrain from coming if you or anybody in your household is experiencing symptoms.

Health Care must continue one more week of testing prior to announcing an opening date. An entire week of no additional spread is a good sign. Again, while we are closed for visitation, you may schedule widow or virtual visits through our website or by contacting the Health Care Life Enrichment team.

Through symptom monitoring and subsequent testing, one Independent Living resident was identified as positive this week. We have not identified any further spread from this case. We are suggesting that residents should wear masks in all independent common areas. For dining purposes, any resident who would like to be seated by themselves may ask the host and we will accommodate.

We continue to monitor the federal vaccine mandate. At this point the specifics of the mandate are not yet published. We do not know the extent of the restrictions or which employees or departments it will affect. We will share information as we receive it.

Once again, we thank you for your patience in this situation. Please pray for the health and safety of our residents and staff to continue.
