Dear Laurel View Village Residents and Families,

We continue to monitor staff and residents for signs and symptoms of COVID, and thankfully we have no infections of residents or staff currently. We are scheduled to test staff monthly, sooner if symptoms or new infections are identified.

Health Care and Personal Care have been able to loosen restrictions and consider most residents negative and unexposed to COVID. As such we have been able to stop wearing gowns for routine resident interactions. New residents admitted to Health Care, Personal Care or Independent Living still must quarantine for 14 days to rule out infections and limit spread. The Health Care and Personal Care Centers have progressed in their reopening phases. Health Care is now allowing in-person, socially distanced, visitation, and Personal Care will begin on March 8. Please schedule your visitation by calling the respective Life enrichment department.

For Independent Living, dining is reopening on March 1, please see the specific communication (below) regarding this for details. The final Independent Living resident vaccination clinic will be held on March 8 for residents who received their first dose on February 8.

In other news we have finally been able to enter the Aetna provider network. Now residents with Aetna insurance will be able to receive services in our Health Care Center, while getting the full benefit of their coverage. Additionally, we have attained 5 stars in the CMS 5-star rating system. Congratulations to the entire Health Care Team, it is only through their hard work and persistence that this has been attained.

Thank you again for patiently journeying with us through COVID. We sincerely appreciate all the understanding and support that we have received over the last year.
