Dear Laurel View Village Community,

We wanted to share a quick overview of where we currently are on campus with COVID-19.

We currently have 27 positive employees, that has increased by nine since the update on Dec. 31. Some of these employees are asymptomatic and able to work the red zones, which is necessary and allowed at this point. Weekly testing will occur again on Monday and Thursday this week. We are trying our hardest to limit cross-over of staff to stop the spread.

Health Care Center – Currently, we have 28 positive residents in the health care center and we have had two deaths related to COVID-19. The Arbor is our yellow zone, and every resident is being closely monitored.

Personal Care – We have three residents in Reflections that have remained negative, those residents were re-tested again today and continue to stay negative. Unfortunately, we have had our second resident pass away from COVID-19 in Reflections. Reflections is still an active red zone, while regular Personal Care is operating as a green zone.

Independent Living has one resident still hospitalized, but no new positives or pending test that we are aware of. One independent living home is still quarantining

Our sympathies to the families experiencing loss. Our sincerest thank you to families and residents for your continued support and understanding during these challenging times. A HUGE thank you to staff who continue to work through daily changes and challenges. We are grateful for your perseverance. As always if you have questions or concerns please do not hesitate to reach out to us.

Sincerely,

Angela Rizzo
Senior Director of Independent Living & Community Relations
