Dear Laurel View Village Residents and Families,

With thankfulness we can report that in the past week we have tested appropriate residents and staff and have had no positive results from tests completed between Wednesday the 10th and Saturday the 13th. Test performed this week have been delayed in arriving at the California-based testing center due to the storms that have been plaguing the nation. We are required to test all employees next week and then we can begin testing on a monthly rotation. We will continue monitoring staff and residents for symptoms multiple times per day and will test as symptoms arise. New residents also have a testing and quarantine protocol to ensure they are not bringing COVID into the facility. We will not be posting test results data unless we start to get positive results once again.

Because of positive staff from previous tests, we are still considering Health Care and Personal Care “Yellow Zones”, where due to possible exposures we are continuing to wear gowns for interactions with residents. Precautions in both areas will be ending soon based on the suggested guidance. Date for when visitation can begin will be published by each care area. Please pay attention to information being posted to keep up to date on these issues.

Independent Living continues to be COVID free with residents who have returned from hospital stays or other travel being asked to quarantine. All employees who had been asked to quarantine due to positivity or exposure are back to work as well.

Vaccinations have been continuing on schedule, with most vaccinated residents and staff having received their second dose. The final resident clinic will be held on March 8 for residents who received their first dose on February 8.

Once again thank you for walking patiently and graciously with us through this situation. Please rejoice with us in the health of our residents and staff and join in prayer for their continued safety.
